On March 23 and 24, top musicians in Los Angeles gathered to Capitol Studios in Hollywood and recorded a charity album to help those affected by the recent earthquake/tsunami in Japan, and I was invited to observe a part of the recording process. This project was conceived by producer Larry Robinson, formerly a jazz drummer and now CEO of Avatar Records. Musicians who donated their time and talent to the cause include Steve Gadd, Nathan East, George Duke, Marcus Miller, Billy Childs, Larry Goldings, Peter Erskine and Christian McBride. The music will be released immediately on iTunes worldwide, and a CD release in Japan is planned. The producers are also thinking about releasing the HD video material through broadcasting in Japan and the US and as a disc for sale in the future.
All proceeds will be donated to a Japanese relief organization. Download Sniper Elite 3 Highly Compressed Movies more. As a music lover, you can help the Japanese earthquake victims by supporting the 'Jazz For Japan' project. If and when the CD is released, Eastwind Import will surely help distribute it worldwide. Meanwhile, please buy the soon-to-be-released album on iTunes (if you do iTunes) and spread the word! As a Japanese citizen living in the US, I'd like to say a big 'THANK YOU!!' To Larry Robinson and everybody involved in this wonderful project.
