Hi I've recently installed Windows 8 on an XP computer. It's a Philips Freeline LS2200, 3.2ghz Pentium 4, 3GB RAM, etc. The only problem is that the soundcard doesn't work. I'm pretty sure it's a Realtek HD AC'97 sound card, yet despite downloading new drivers from the internet it has not worked. According to control panel there is no sound card connected, and the loudspeaker near the date in the bottom right corner of the screen has an 'x' on it.
